The item I wanted wasn't in stock in the store so I ordered it online. It took my order and my payment and said that it should be ready for pick up at the store by March 26th. When I went on site to check the order status there was no information. I called the store and was told that the order was cancelled. Why? Because it wasn't in stock at the store. I know that because I was at the store and saw that for myself. That's why I ordered it online - so that it could be shipped to the store for me to pick up. Can someone at the store put in the order because the online order system is very customer unfriendly. No, they can't do that. Can you check if it's in stock at another store and have it shipped the store close to me so I can pick it up there? No we don't do that because we don't have a system in place for store transfers and it's too costly to have a private service pick up items for transfer. Then I called the "customer care" line to complain. I was on hold for fifteen minutes before someone answered and when I started to explain the situation, I was cut off. I will never order anything from Lowe's again. I'll go a little bit out of my way and drive the extra mile to Home Depot or order online from Amazon.
