I ordered a gallon of paint for my wife to pick up on here way home. I made the online order 3 hours before I expected her to be there. This is not the first time I have had bad experiences with the Mount Vernon, WA store. Poor customer service is common place. I am only bound to Lowes due to paint colors we have already used. I will be shifting to Behr paint as we move through the house changing colors.
In this day and age of Amazon getting online sales and service sooooo good, how come Lowes can't get 1 gallon of paint from one side of the store to other in 3 hours.

Needless to say I took my business elsewhere, and the order of pavers bought and delivered to my home hassle free within a week. Lowes cannot deliver a call back within a few months so what's that tell you. Over the years Lowes has become one of the lowest quality stores with very poor service, employees with absolutely no idea of what they sell, and merchandise has become cheap crap made outside the US. The employees were very friendly and said they would still try to find the ladder for me (apparently there were 11 in stock in the store, they just couldn't find them). I left my phone and planned to pick up another day, and not 15 minutes after leaving the store and being partly home they found the ladder. All of this was not ideal, but the staff was great and I still got everything I needed -- or so I thought. It turns out the ladder was not the only thing missed in my order. A week later as I have finally done a bulk of prep for my project and ready to dig in, I realize I am missing one of the tools I thought I purchased! I was super disappointed that not everything was actually ready for my order. The employees were super friendly and I appreciated them making some extra effort to call me when they located the ladder I needed, but overall I would have preferred to have been contacted when my order was ACTUALLY complete or just have done it myself. purchased a 1500.00 vanity. Was told date of delivery at time. Checked again at store to verify date of delivery. Call that day since I didn't hear from store. 1st told have no record, then transfer to delivery dept…I was on schedule for next day. Next day still no call of eta. Called store got same answer no record that I was on schedule for today. Transfer to delivery dept. who said it would happen…called 1:30 to get update spent 15 minutes on phone with auto answer transferring me back and forth to dept and main menu before I was able to talk to person (happened only because I hit every possible number before someone picked up. Again…no record of status…transfer to delivery who assured me it was happening…Guess I will see. Very close to just asking for refund and return other items that brought total up to $2,000. After looking at the large volume of insulation purchased, I was at a loss as to how to get it home in a timely manner. My contractor was scheduled to come very early the next day, so delivery was not an option. On top of that, it was late and the store was closing soon. I resigned myself to the many, many trips back and forth that would be needed in my car. Seeing my dilemma, the associates on the “lumber side” of the store came to my rescue! First, Isatou was wonderfully kind and so smart to help me figure out a way to get the large amount of insulation bundles home without making those many multiple trips. We found Joshua and he filled my car to the brim and was waiting for my return before the store closed. I made it and upon arriving, Myles and Hugh stepped in to help out and filled it again and even took the time to tie down bundles to my roof rack. I think they went above and beyond, considering it was the end of the night for them. Project is complete thanks to them. I would like to add that I really appreciate that Lowe’s is open during this COVID-19 crisis and that these associates were ready and willing to help in my time of need. I had seen it online. The associate in that department said I could come back later and pick it up. Several hours later ,I went to pick it up in a truck, it was too large for the car. That last mower, the one that I had paid for had been sold ! There wasn't another one in the store ! It was very troubling the way I, a long time customer was treated and no one tried to help ! I spent a good while looking at other mowers, while my wife waited in the truck. We are trying only to go into stores, when we must shop.
